Brian Tracy is a recipient of the 2003 Connecticut Commission on the Arts 2003 Artist Fellowship Award for his full-length play, Iowa. The one-act version of Iowa was selected for last years Samuel French Festival; in addition, it was produced three times in New York, and once in Amsterdam, Holland. Mr. Tracy’s other plays; X-Mas and Gainesville were also selected by the Samuel French committee for their festival. Gainesville was also made into a film by Mike Gannon, and has been seen on IFC. As an actor, he has done over twenty-five years of Off and Off-Off Broadway including last seasons revival of Chekhov’s The Seagull, directed by Thomas G. Waites, The Wings Theatre production of John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation, and John Patrick Shanley’s Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at 59 East 59th Street Theatre. Mr. Tracy is an NYU graduate.
