Ms. Curtiss is a professional stage and film director, and has been casting director in NYC, L.A., and Salt Lake City. She currently teaches in the film directing and acting conservatory at the New York Film Academy. She has directed over 100 theatre and film works, received strong reviews from both Dramalogue and the LA Times. She twice directed works in the Shepard festival at Center Stage Theatre in Santa Barbara, California. Kathy is also Artisitc Director of Renaissance Now Theatre & Film, here in NYC. She is a member of STAA, the Shakespeare Theatre Association of America, member of Screen Actor’s Guild, and recognized by the Society of American Fight Directors. She has worked in teaching acting for stage and screen, classics, movement & voice, stage combat for over 20 years. A Lie of the Mind and King Lear are her favorite plays.
